PKMN Skies: Movie Night

Asuka doesn't plan on keeping her newfound pet forever (she's looking for its real owner), but that doesn't mean she can't have fun with it in the meantime.  Ughlpuff always seems grumpy and miserable, so Asuka tried to cheer it up with the thing that always cheers her up: martial arts movies.

The fast-paced action and driving scenes of The Importer don't impress the Koffing.
The brutal fights and complex tale of crime and corruption from The (Rose)Rade: Redemption only seem to annoy Ughlpuff.
The martial arts mastery and 70's charm of Enter the Dragon Rage fall on deaf ears...or...whatever Koffings have.
The child-friendly antics and slapstick comedy of 3 Greninjas, however, seems to be up Ughlpuff's alley...Guess we all beat to different drums.

After tonight's screening, Asuka probably won't try sharing her culture with Ughlpuff again for a long time...She's really gotta find that Koffing's original owner...

Director's Commentary

- Because I'm a hack writer, every movie here is a Pokemon-pun version of real martial arts/action movies and their stars.  Can you guess them all?  They're all either insultingly easy, or too poorly-constructed to logically guess.
- Another symptom of hack writing: Why does Asuka own a movie she hates?
- Asuka is getting punched out in Panel 3.  Because I'm lazy and re-use parts from my older pictures.
- Generi-Cola debuted in a fanfiction I wrote.
- Drawing the pile of clothes on Asuka's bed took forever.  I hope it looks cool.
- In case you're wondering why there's a pile of clothes on Asuka's bed, it's because she's a slob.  She never bought a proper bed set and almost never cleans her clothes.  She keeps them all piled on her bed and uses them as a pillow and blanket.
- That's also why there are stains on her wall and bed and dust balls on her floor.
- I'd like to think that when Asuka bought that Power Rangers nightgown, she asked if the store had Super Sentai clothes.  It was probably a whole thing and she only found what she was looking for by accident.
