Description
Asuka's entry for the Darling Dragon Dress-Up contest. Between getting its heart broken in the last comic and being forced to look like a children's show character in this one, Life has really taken a liking to hating Smooze, hasn't it? Guess Asuka wasn't kidding when she said this year was going to be different.
When your pet is a giant blob
What do you when your pet can't wear costumes? You make the pet become the costume! By molding Smooze's body into the desired shape, jamming a few props into it and applying a
...When using hairspray, it helps to have another pet who eats poisonous fumes. Otherwise, you'll murder the Ozone Layer and that's not cool, because she makes the best mix tapes.
After all of this preparation (and suffering on Smooze's part), I hope Asuka can take home the gold this year. However, this group gets crazy-creative with its contest entries, so she's definitely got her work cut out for her.
Director's Commentary
- That helmet was originally going to be a welder's mask, but I noticed how close it looked to Moltar's helmet, so I changed it into Moltar's helmet. Why? I don't understand the question.
- I feel guilty that I've never seen Moltar on the original Space Ghost and only know him from Coast to Coast. Say, did you know Moltar has a True Form underneath that suit? I didn't; I always thought he was just a human-looking guy who wore that suit to protect himself from his own fiery weapons.
- I've created some confusion over Smooze's gender with recent uploads having Asuka refer to the Muk as male. To clarify, Smooze and Ughlpuff are still treated as impossible to classify, on account of them being unnatural lifeforms whose bodies are too simple and/or bizarre to gender parts...or possibly even genders, period. Asuka merely refers to them as "him," "he," etc because it comes to her more naturally than regarding a living thing with a face and a name as an "it" or "thing." Smooze and Ughlpuff don't care enough to have a preference, so you can call them whatever you want
