When I think of trees...I wish I hadn't.
It never ceases to surprise and disturb me how something as motionless, silent and natural as a tree can fill me with dread, sorrow and a cavernous lack of faith in the future. Most call them gifts of nature and life-preserving saviors. I, however, see them as harbingers of sorrow and proof of man's corrupt and conflicting tendencies. The full extent of our futility and our two-faced greed and sloth can be brought to light by first looking at trees.
When I think of trees, I think of how no matter what conservationists do, there never seem to be enough trees. They launch their campa
