Princess Drill Hands

Long time, no upload.  Let's see if I can't put a change to that.

I've been gabbing to anyone who will listen that I'm working on a comic called Superburbs (with the with the glamorous Kanna-Maru on artwork).  You can find an early version of the series logo here and you can find a short description of it...RIGHT NOW!

Super heroes are real but when they live in a suburb, the word “super” is used sparingly. Let’s hope they fight someone or this is gonna be a dull comic.

Superburbs is a comic about a recent college drop-out named Alex Leiber. Intimidated by his classmates' lofty ambitions and the demands of the working world, Leiber decides he's better off moving back home to Averageton, USA. Things aren't so dead-end-jobby though when he meets up with high school super hero, The Springy, who inspires him to try his hand at something new and team up with other heroes in the area.

The seedy underbelly of suburbia is gonna gut-check...Or they'll help Mrs. Dambly with her groceries. Whatever comes first.

Born to a prominent scientist, Emilee Kirby has long held herself to the highest standards of study and work. When other girls had Darbie’s lawyers gut Ben for alimony, Lili gutted Ma’s sedan for parts (Ma never did figure out how to put it back together). By high school, Lili knew it was her obligation to help the poor, stupid planet with her big brains, and followed Dad around his lab on every experiment she could.

By the time college came, college was redundant for her. She chose a school in the small town of Averageton because its simple workload would give her more time to work on her own devices; the degree she would receive just a formality for the labs where she intends to do her real life’s work.  She met Alex Leiber at AU, but their meeting could have gone uh..."less God awful?"

Armed with machines of her own design and disguised as the super hero Princess Drill Hands, Lili patrols campus to give her latest inventions field tests. The sight of a pink princess lowers crooks’ defenses, but everything from Lili’s mathematically-measured bangs, to her collapsible boot heels, to the more subtle nuances of her transforming drills is designed to bring criminals to their knees. It may not be the most sophisticated practice of science, but it is the most kick-ass...No seriously. She literally kicks their asses.
